It might be 2025 now, but some traditions are timeless! Wing night specials are a time-honoured favourite of ours. There’s just something about crispy wings covered in your favourite sauce that just captures the spirit of going out with friends.
These days, wings command a bit of a premium, but there are still wing night specials to be found all across the Kootenays! They take place on different nights throughout the region, but all are a bargain, and are worth stopping by for a pint with a friend or two.
Read on to learn what restaurants have wing nights, what night they’re on, and compare prices and extras ๐
๐ฒ West Kootenays ๐ฒ
We love a good wing night, and there’s some pretty unbelievable specials going on across the area!
Nelson Wing Night
The Dam (Wednesday)
๐ $0.95/wing (approx. $9.50/pound)
Technically Nelson adjacent, but well worth the drive, The Dam has a splendid wing night, with wings on special for $0.95 a wing. They’re available in 10 flavours. All the classics are included here, as well as a rotating flavour of the week.
We’re always impressed with the size and sauciness of the wings at The Dam, and the rotating flavours have included some bangers like Thai peanut sauce. The Dam has free pool and frequently hosts events like open mic night.
Brixx Brewhouse (Thursday)
๐ $9/pound, starting at 4:30
Brixx has some of the most amazing weekly specials in the area, and their Thursday wing night special is the best deal in Nelson.
They have 6 tasty flavours to choose from – all half-priced at only $9/pound! Plus in the summer you can sit on the patio overlooking the lake, which is a hard view to beat!
Finley’s (Wednesday)
๐ $10/pound (with purchase of a drink)
A Nelson wing night staple, Finleys has wings available in three different configurations: standard bone-in wings, boneless wings, and cauliflower wings.
All three types of wings are available in 10 flavours. That’s the kind of diversity we like to see! Finleys has an enclosed sun room, massive outdoor deck, pool tables, and plenty of events such as karaoke and open mic night.
Jackson’s Hole (Day, TBA)
๐ $15/pound (Starts Feb 2025)
We’re a little bit ahead of the curve on this one, but Jackson’s Hole & Grill will be re-launching Wing Night in February 2025! They have 7 flavours of wings to choose from, as well as other great casual eats you’ll find in some other upcoming lists.
Stay tuned, and we’ll update this article as we hear more.
Relish (Wednesday)
๐ $25 All You Can Eat (Starts Jan 29, 2025)
Coming soon: the Kootenays’ ONLY all you can eat wings night! Bring the biggest wing fan you know – this one isn’t by the pound. For a flat $25 fee, you can have all-you-can-eat wings in all your favourite flavours.
The inaugural launch event was January 15th, but you’ll be able to attend this one-of-a-kind wing night weekly starting January 29th!
Kaslo Wing Night
Waypoint Restaurant (Tuesday)
๐ $10/pound
There might only be one restaurant serving wings in Kaslo, but this is a must-try wing night! It’s well worth the drive just for this (and a stop at Ainsworth Hot Springs while you’re in the neighbourhood).
They have 7 flavours to choose from, and while we’re very confident they’re all good, for our money it’s the Korean BBQ wings that really keeps us coming back. Sticky, sweet umami flavour with a hint of spice – we just can’t get enough of them. They’re truly a fantastic treat!
Castlegar Wing Night
The Nineteenth (Wednesday)
๐ $12.75/pound starting at 3:00
We’ve only discovered The Nineteenth in the last year or so, but we’ve had nothing but awesome experiences there. They’ve got a stunning patio that overlooks the fairway – a perfect place to enjoy one of their 8 awesome wing flavours, including dill pickle and honey gochujang (spicy sweet red chili sauce).
Lions Head (Wednesday & Happy Hour)
๐ $18.50/pound
The Lion’s Head is a great casual spot for dinner, drinks, or appies, with a daily happy hour from 3-5pm and a really cool setting. Their wing night is on Wednesdays, but you can also get a similar deal every day during happy hour, where all appies are $2 off.
They’ve got 9 flavours to choose from, including their special Dragon’s Blood (ghost pepper, hot and sweet)
Trail/Rossland Wing Night
The Arlington (Wednesday)
๐ $12.95/Pound
With an impressive 16 flavours of wings done up three ways: dusted, breaded, or gluten-free, The Arlington is a great spot to go for wing night.
It’s actually also a great spot to go for wings on a regular night too, since their regular price wings are only $16.95! That’s less than the price of some of the wing night specials on this list. With a convenient central location and a wide variety of comfort food, this is an easy one to recommend!
They have daily drink specials and a really cool enclosed patio that you don’t really see around this area – it’s a great spot to hang out!
Rock Cut Pub (Thursday)
๐ $9/pound starting at 5:00
Located right before Red Mountain Ski Resort, the Rock Cut Pub is a pretty bumping spot all winter long, especially for their Thursday wing night special! With a whopping 17 different flavours, this is a fantastic spot to visit on a Thursday! They also have amazing caesars on special that night, with a stacked garnish that includes a wing, among other treats!
You can even catch the ski shuttle there, since it makes a stop at the Rock Cut Pub on its way to the hill.
Salmo/Fruitvale Wing Night
Fruitvale Hotel (Wednesday & Friday)
๐ $8.45/pound
Here it is folks: the cheapest wing night in the West Kootenays!
The historic Fruitvale Pub might only have two flavours of wings: salt & pepper and classic hot, but this is the BEST deal in this article. Wednesdays these classic crispy wings are only $8.45/lb and Friday’s special is wings and fries for $14.90.
That’s a steal of a deal if we’ve ever seen one, and to top it off, it comes with free ranch dip. ๐คฏ They also have a killer happy hour, with half price wine and all draft beer for $5 from 2-4pm.
Junction Eatery (Wednesday)
๐ $12/pound starting at 3:00
We just discovered the Junction Eatery this year, and we’re so happy to have found it! We have to give a quick shout out to their smash burger, but all of their food is hearty and delicious.
Their wing night features 10 flavours. If we’re ever in Salmo, we love stopping here for a bite in this cool establishment.
It’s also super close to Eerie Creek Brewery, which we also love. Overall a great addition to this town, and a fun place to hang out with friends.

These wing night deals are pretty unbelievable! We’re so ready…
Creston Wing Night
Tim’s Fish & Chips (Thursdays)
๐ $1.30/wing (appr. $13/pound)
Creston has a few hidden gems, and wing night at Tim’s Fish & Chips qualifies for sure. While their fish and chips is front and centre, Tim’s also serves up tasty weekly specials including chicken dinners and wings on Thursdays.
It’s cute as a button, and a local favourite!
Cranbrook Wing Night
Fenwick and Baker (Wednesday)
๐$10/pound, also comes with fries! starting at 4:00
Here’s another absolute bargain of a wing night! ๐คฉ
Fenwick and Baker sells wings on Wednesday at an unbelievable $10 a pound that also comes with fries. It’s undoubtedly one of the very best deals in the Kootenays.
They have 12 flavours – all your favourites, plus Maple Bacon, Honey Hot, and two signature wing flavours you won’t find anywhere else: “Baker” (Peanutbutter, Sweet Thai Chili and Cilantro) and “Fenwick” (Hot sauce, Ranch, and Blue Cheese Crumbles). Their signature wings are $2 extra, but we certainly won’t fault them for that – it’s still a crazy deal.
They have equally great drink specials, such as house wine $6/6oz or $9/9oz. This is one you’ll want to save in your phone!
Perry’s Pizza & Grill
๐ $9/pound
Serving up some seriously good looking burgers, Perry’s has half price wings on Thursdays – $9 a pound! This is a real comfort food establishment: pizzas, burgers, and wings, and they’re doing it right, with easy favourites and personable inviting service.
๐ฒ Kootenay Adjacent Wing Nights ๐ฒ
Clyde’s Pub in Grand Forks (Saturday)
๐ $0.80/wing (appr. $8/pound)
While technically not in the Kootenays, Clyde’s wing night special is so good this article wouldn’t be complete without it!
Just $0.80 a wing, and comes with your choice of dipping sauce – it’s no wonder why Clyde’s is famous for their wing night.
It’s also the only wing night on this list that falls on a weekend, so you can really go to town, catch a game, and enjoy yourself.
