Join us for a pine needle basketry workshop and discover the art of coiling fragrant pine needles into a beautiful, small basket. In this beginner-friendly session, you’ll learn all the steps:

🧺 Preparing and bundling pine needles
🧺Creating sturdy coils
🧺Stitching the coils together to form your basket
🧺Finishing touches for a polished look

By the end of the workshop, you’ll take home your very own handcrafted pine needle mini-basket, a unique treasure made with natural materials. No prior experience necessary – all materials will be provided.

Artist Statement

I have been weaving pine needles for four years now . This year I am looking forward to being a part of the Columbia Basin Culture tour. I find the process of cleaning , sorting , weaving and designing very fulfilling and meditative.
