An afternoon of creativity curated by artist Keaton Hendy and co-hosted by Nadine Wildwood:
Join us for a cozy and crafty couple of hours this November as we delve into piles of vintage mags to unearth some forgotten treasure. The medium of collage really is for everyone – you don’t need paint, canvas, or an Arts Degree to cut and paste with inherently beautiful material! I love the fact that collage is quite accessible and I’m very curious to see how it unravels through a workshop format with a group of engaged humans.
I will have some of my works on display to kickstart your brains, but I encourage you to come with an open mind and some steady hands as we will utilize scalpels and glue to reimagine old photographs into new works of art. All supplies will be included in the cost along with snacks, beverages, and groovy tunes. You can even take a few magazines home with you if you feel inspired to create more at home!
Time: 2-4 pm on Sunday, November 24th (if we are in the flow 4 might become 5)
Cost: $30 per person, kids over 14 are welcome 🙂
* 20 people max so sign up before seats are full!
What to bring: any magazines or books that interest you and a simply creative mindset. I will provide heaps of old National Geographics, Skate/Snowboard content, and some other odds and ends (mostly landscape mags and sheet music).
Location: Gallery 444 on Baker Street – up the orange staircase between Intuit Movement Studio and Maison Home Goods >>>
